过年做什么?The Story of Monster Nian or Xi.There are many versions of this story. The core message is tell you that monster Xi (though many people thought it was Nian) came out to harm people every Chinese new year eve. He was only scared of red color, loud noise of fire crackers. So every Chinese new year eve, Chinese people would light firecrackers and wear red to scare away the monster and live peaceful lives.
